Selling Your Home? Price for the Market, Not the Memories.

Thinking about selling your home? One of the most important decisions you’ll make happens before the FOR SALE sign ever goes in the yard: setting the right price.
Preparing your home to show its best is important—decluttering, making repairs, freshening up landscaping and taking care of those little projects you’ve been putting off. But preparation is only part of the equation.
Pricing matters.
Work closely with your real estate agent to look at what is actually happening in your local market. What have comparable homes recently sold for? What is currently competing for the same buyer? How long are homes staying on the market? Are sellers making price reductions?
It’s natural to have an emotional attachment to your home, but emotion shouldn’t determine your asking price. What you paid for it, what you’ve spent improving it, and what you’d like to net from the sale don’t necessarily determine its current market value.
If your goal is to sell, listen to what the market is telling you.
The right preparation, the right marketing and a well-researched price can put you in a much stronger position from day one.
Thinking about selling? I’d be happy to help you take an objective look at your home, the competition and what buyers are responding to right now.
